The Journey
My dear readers,
Last year, I began the blogging journey, with Rescued for His Kingdom. I will never forget God’s words to me, as I washed dishes in my kitchen. I began worshipping God, and in that worship, I heard His voice telling me to start Rescued for His Kingdom as a blog. He said there were women who needed to hear this story.
Rescued for His Kingdom is now registered with the State and now we move forward with the IRS to request a non-profit status; in order to receive donations, and in return help survivors of domestic violence with grants for rent, education and transportation. To be able to provide a safe place to rest in the evenings, receive training and host therapeutic activities for each survivor. To bring education to the community and empower each survivor with the right tools to start new beginnings.
My first blog post began the sharing of Ruth and her story. She has been narrating events in her life with Phillip and her rescue from domestic violence.
I have fallen in love with this character, that has taken us through the beginning of her marriage, through her abuse and trauma, to healing. I fell in love with Ruth’s kindness and her courage to leave her abusive marriage, her courage to go through the pain of it all and to rediscover all the things she had loved; the things that made her into Ruth.
I have omitted a few events from her story to be able to share them in my book Ruth, A Woman Rescued for His Kingdom.
I hope you have enjoyed reading her story.
Each sale of the book will be donated to Rescued for His Kingdom to further help survivors of domestic violence, that includes men, women, and children.
