His Love
Like the shadows that cover the day-
So, were your blows-
Your words-
Your betrayals.
Loneliness appeared-
So, did its friend fear.
Ensnared I became –
To the chains of affliction.
Was there no hope?
No way out?
Was I doomed to die-
In hopelessness?
Absolutely not!
For there was One-
Who loved me unconditionally!
He saw me with love,
A great love.
He saw my pain-
My spirit crumbling-
Withering away.
He took me under His wings-
Brought life to me.
As the sun pushes away the night-
So, did His great love remove-
Darkness,
Loneliness,
Hopelessness,
Pain.
